There’s nothing wrong with our nude colored bras and our granny panties but let’s face it, they weren’t exactly meant to see the light of day.
Then you’ve got your made to be seen, top notch bras that are dying to be shown. In the past, showing a bra strap here or a bit of lace poking out there was a fashion faux pas, but all of that has changed lately. Although it’s not exactly office appropriate, there are plenty of times when your bra showing from underneath a sheer top adds just the right amount of sex appeal to your look.
This isn’t the easiest look to pull off and choosing the right type of bra is essential. A full coverage bra is a must, since sheer styles are a nip slip waiting to happen. Your bra also must have some personality since no one wants to see your dullsville plain lingerie. Here are a couple of fun options to choose from!
VPL’s bras are works of art and it’s almost a shame to hide them underneath clothes. In fact Victoria Bartlett’s line, which stands for “visible panty line” aims to blend the line between underwear and outerwear. This yellow brais typical of VPL’s style with colorblocking and thick straps that beg to be seen.
The most full coverage option when you want to show off your bra is a bandeau top. These don’t have a ton of support so are probably better left for smaller busted women but a colorful bandeau like Hanky Panky’s pink lace style would be a great pop of color underneath a romantic top.
Not ready to take the plunge and expose your bra completely? Try Topshop’s polka dotted denim bra whose ruffled cups would look adorable poking out from under a button up top.
